Peugeot Motocycles is a French brand and one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers in the world, with an unbroken production history since 1898, long before the Peugeot car division rose to prominence. The company has its roots in the Franche-Comté region and specialises in scooters and lightweight motorcycles. The current lineup consists mainly of 50cc, 125cc and 400cc scooters: the Django, Metropolis and Kisbee are the best-known models. The Metropolis is a three-wheeled scooter that can be ridden with a standard car licence, comparable to the Yamaha Tricity. Peugeot Motocycles is independent from Peugeot Automobiles; the motorcycle brand has had several owners and is currently part of the Mahindra Group.
