About MV Agusta

MV Agusta is an Italian motorcycle brand founded in 1945 in Cascina Costa, near Varese in the Lombardy region. The brand is internationally recognised for handcrafted, premium sportbikes and naked bikes with a distinctly Italian design language. Iconic models include the F4 (inline-four supersport), the Brutale (naked), the Dragster, and the Superveloce (neo-retro). MV Agusta accumulated numerous world titles in road racing during the 1950s and 1960s, a legacy that continues to define its brand identity. In 2024 a partnership with KTM AG was established.

In the Netherlands, MV Agusta occupies a niche with a small but passionate customer base. The typical Dutch MV rider is a discerning sport rider or collector for whom Italian aesthetics and exclusivity matter more than everyday practicality. The dealer network consists of a handful of specialist importers and dealers. Servicing requires expertise and is more costly than mainstream brands; the used market is limited. MV Agusta is commonly compared in the Netherlands to the Ducati Panigale or Aprilia RS in the premium segment.
