Hercules

Hercules is a German motorcycle brand from Nuremberg, founded in 1886, which developed through the twentieth century into one of the best-known suppliers of mopeds and light motorcycles in Germany and the Benelux. The brand was closely associated with Fichtel & Sachs, its engine supplier, and later with Sachs Fahrzeug- und Motorentechnik. Hercules built two-wheelers from 49 cc to 250 cc, particularly sporty and utility models for everyday transport. In the 1980s, the name was also sold in some markets under the Sachs brand. Production has since ceased.

In the Netherlands, Hercules used bikes are rare and appear mainly through classic motorcycle dealers and enthusiast sellers. The rider base consists of collectors and nostalgic riders who know the mopeds and light motorcycles from the 1960s to 1980s. Parts are limited but available through Sachs specialists and classic motorcycle parts suppliers. Hercules is no longer a daily transport option; it is a collector's item with nostalgic value.
