Years
2011 - present
The L-series gained a Showa BPF fork and Brembo calipers while retaining the familiar 750cc inline-four. There is no standard traction control, so verify individual accessories rather than assuming it.
Years
2004 - 2010
K4–K10 generations brought more radial braking hardware, refined fuelling and a very light chassis. For many riders, this is the sharpest analogue 750cc used buy.
Years
2000 - 2003
Fuel injection and a new aluminium frame made the GSX-R750 lighter and more direct. It is recognisably a modern supersport, yet still demands a committed riding style.
Years
1996 - 1999
The SRAD is markedly more compact and track-focused, with ram-air intake and sharper chassis geometry. It bridges the classic GSX-R and modern injected machines.
Years
1992 - 1995
This water-cooled generation modernised engine and chassis, while remaining an analogue supersport without the compactness of an SRAD.
Years
1985 - 1991
The first GSX-R750s are air/oil-cooled icons with an aluminium frame and unmistakable 1980s character. Condition and originality matter more here than the final few horsepower.
The Suzuki GSX-R750 is the classic 750cc supersport: lighter and more eager than a 1000, yet with considerably more midrange than a 600. The name spans from the oil-cooled GSX-R of 1985 to modern injected and SRAD generations, so model year matters. Early bikes are collectible air/oil-cooled machines, while water-cooled SRAD and later K-series bikes are genuinely track-focused sports motorcycles. The last major revision arrived in 2011; later examples retain the proven 750cc inline-four and Showa BPF fork.
The GSX-R750 is for experienced sporty riders who value a focused riding position, high footrests and an eager engine. It shines on track days and empty twisty roads, rather than commuting or two-up touring. On a used example, look closely for crash or track-use evidence, original bodywork and documented servicing. Do not identify one solely by registration year: imports and model codes vary, so check the VIN, first-registration date and paperwork.
A used Suzuki GSX-R 750 costs €5,125 on average. Most cost €2,250 to €8,050. This is based on 107 motorcycles for sale now.
