The Buell XB-12 is an American sportbike built by Buell Motorcycle Company, a subsidiary of Harley-Davidson. It uses a 1203 cc Harley-Davidson Sportster-derived V-twin mounted in a self-supporting aluminium frame that doubles as the fuel tank, while the swingarm serves as the oil reservoir. This design lowers the centre of gravity and shortens the wheelbase compared with conventional sportbikes. The XB-12 was produced from 2002 to 2009 in variants including the XB12R Firebolt (faired), XB12S Lightning (naked), and XB12Scg.
