About the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro
The Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro has been the road-focused version of Triumph's fully redesigned large-adventure platform since 2022. Its 1,160cc T-plane triple produces 150 hp through shaft drive to 19/18-inch cast wheels. GT Pro adds semi-active suspension, quickshifter, cornering lights, heated grips and expanded TFT functions. Rally models use wire wheels and longer travel.
GT Pro suits long-distance travel, daily motorway use and two-up riding with luggage. It is powerful and comprehensive but remains tall, complex and expensive beyond warranty. The T-plane rhythm provides strong low-rev traction but feels different from older Tigers. Check software, electronic suspension and shaft drive over a long test ride. The 2024 update refined low-speed running, comfort and ergonomics.
