About the Triumph Street Triple R
The Triumph Street Triple R is a naked inline-three sports bike that has been in production since 2008. The liquid-cooled 675cc triple (expanded to 765cc from 2017) delivers a distinctive exhaust note and a broad, usable powerband. The chassis is derived from the Daytona supersport, resulting in sharp, precise steering without the extreme ergonomics of a full sportbike.
The Street Triple R is the mid-range variant equipped with Brembo brakes, fully adjustable Öhlins or Showa upside-down forks and riding modes, aimed at riders who want more than the base model. It targets experienced riders who commute daily but also enjoy spirited corner work. The riding position is sporty yet comfortable enough for longer stints. It competes directly with the Yamaha MT-09 and Kawasaki Z900.

What to check before buying
- Check the exhaust for corrosion and leaks; early models (2008–2012) are prone to rust at the joints.
- Inspect coolant hoses and radiator for leaks; a worn radiator is a known cost item at higher mileages.
- Inspect the steering damper and subframe for play; track use can cause stress deformation.
- Verify that riding modes software functions correctly on post-2017 765cc models; known ECU-related faults have been reported.
