About the Ktm 300 EXC
The KTM 300 EXC has been the iconic two-stroke enduro of KTM since the 1990s, considered by many owners to be the best extreme enduro on the market. Beneath the seat sits a 297 cc two-stroke single with the trademark low-rev tractor pull two-strokes are known for; from 2018 fitted with transfer-port injection (TPI) and from 2023 with throttle-body injection (TBI), keeping the 300 EXC current on the European market into 2025. Its very low ready-to-ride weight (around 105-110 kg), steel trellis frame and long-travel WP XPlor suspension make it unbeatable in steep forest and rock terrain. Road registration is standard (lights, plate holder), unlike its motocross sibling, the 300 SX.
The target rider is the hard-enduro racer, extreme trail enthusiast and amateur competitor who values low weight and torque-rich pull above peak power. It is not built for long road stretches, the five-speed gearbox is short, the seat narrow and the riding position extreme for MX.
