Italjet

Italjet is an Italian scooter and lightweight motorcycle brand founded in 1966 by Leopoldo Tartarini in Bologna. The company made a name as an innovative designer with a flair for unconventional styling: the iconic Velocifero, the futuristic Dragster scooter, and the compact Pack scooters of the 1970s and 1980s. After a bankruptcy in the early 2000s, Italjet was revived and relaunched the Dragster, now available in 125cc, 200cc, and larger twin-cylinder variants. The brand combines Italian craftsmanship with bold aesthetics.

In the Dutch used-motorcycle market, Italjet scooters are a niche brand for enthusiasts drawn to distinctive design. The Dragster 125 is recognisable among A1-licence riders and scooter fans. Older models like the Velocifero and Pack appear as collectors' items. Maintenance of newer models goes through importers; classics require specialist knowledge. Italjet positions itself as a design brand in the scooter segment, comparable to Vespa but smaller in scale and dealer network.
