About the Indian Scout Bobber
The Indian Scout Bobber is the stripped-back, blacked-out version of the modern Indian Scout, introduced in 2018. It shares the 1133 cc liquid-cooled V-twin with around 100 hp and 97 Nm with the standard Scout, but adds a chopped rear fender, lowered handlebars, a solo seat and matte-black detailing. Seat height drops to roughly 643 mm and weight stays around 245 kg, making the bike easy to throw a leg over while looking more aggressive than the base Scout.
The Bobber targets riders who want a minimalist, urban-styled cruiser. The low seat and narrow waist suit shorter riders, but the short rear travel and forward foot controls make longer trips tiring. Direct rivals are the Harley-Davidson Sportster S, Forty-Eight (used) and Triumph Bonneville Bobber. Luggage and wind protection are absent from the factory; many examples gain a mini screen and soft saddlebags after purchase. Watch the model year carefully, the Scout Bobber received cosmetic updates in 2022 and Indian moved the platform to the new 1250 cc Speedplus V-twin for 2025.

What to check before buying
- Check the stator and regulator/rectifier; known weak spots on early Scout platforms (2018-2020).
- Inspect the cylinder base gasket for oil weeping, particularly on higher mileage examples.
- The short rear shock sags easily two-up; check for sag and leakage.
- Matte-black finish scratches readily; look for paint damage around the filler cap, foot controls and exhaust.
- Indian dealers are sparse in the Netherlands; request full service history and update records before buying.
