The Euro 5 SC80 update gets TFT, smartphone connectivity, revised styling and Black Edition as a colour and equipment variant. The 998 cc engine remains at 107 kW and 104 Nm. Kerb weight is 214 kg; Black Edition has no different core specifications.

The SC80 Neo Sports Café is the major 2018 restart with round LED headlight, ride-by-wire and 107 kW/104 Nm. It weighs 212 kg kerb, has an 830 mm seat and 16.2-litre tank. Do not use this row for the Euro 5/TFT update from 2021.

The SC60 is the original CB1000R with angular headlight, single-sided swingarm and 998 cc inline-four. It produces 92 kW and 99 Nm, weighs 217 kg kerb and has an 825 mm seat and 17-litre tank. It is technically and visually a different generation from the later Neo Sports Café.
The Honda CB1000R has two substantially different generations. The SC60 (2008–2017) is the angular naked with a road-tuned Fireblade engine; the SC80 (2018–2023) is the lighter Neo Sports Café with ride-by-wire and 107 kW. The 2021 update added TFT, connectivity and Black Edition trim. Black Edition is not a separate engine family: its core specifications match the updated SC80.
