2007–2012 B-King
GenerationThe B-King is Suzuki’s production Hayabusa-derived power naked, combining a 1,340 cc inline-four with an aluminium twin-spar frame, wide tank shrouds and twin high-level silencers. Power modes, radial brakes and fully adjustable suspension put it beyond a typical Z1000 rival, while its mass and immediate torque demand an experienced rider. ABS depended on market, so verify it on each motorcycle.
About the Suzuki B King
The Suzuki B-King is a muscular naked bike produced from 2007 through 2012. Its 1,340 cc inline-four is closely related to the second-generation Hayabusa engine, with revised intake, exhaust and mapping for strong road-going torque. Producing around 135 kW and built around an aluminium twin-spar frame, the B-King stood apart both technically and visually through its wide tank shrouds and substantial proportions. Two power modes, radial front brakes and fully adjustable suspension were standard, while ABS was optional in parts of the market.
It suits an experienced rider who values effortless acceleration and high-speed stability over low mass or wind protection. The riding position is roomy and fairly upright, but the broad chassis, considerable weight and immediate throttle response require care at walking pace and in poor grip. It can handle commuting, although fast road riding and long, sweeping bends are where it feels most convincing. Period alternatives include the Yamaha VMAX, Kawasaki Z1000 and Honda CB1000R, but none combines the same Hayabusa-derived powertrain with such distinctive bodywork.

What to check before buying
- Check that no FI warning appears and that the exhaust-valve servo completes its self-test; aftermarket silencers are often fitted after the system has been removed or bypassed poorly.
- Feel the steering head for a notch or free play and inspect the fork seals; the bike's mass and hard acceleration place considerable load on the bearings and front end.
- Inspect the chain, sprockets and rear-wheel cush-drive rubbers for excess play, as the engine's torque quickly exposes a neglected final drive.
- Examine the large original silencers, heat shields and mounting points for accident damage or corrosion, and ask what fuelling changes accompany any aftermarket exhaust.
