Years
2021 - present
The second XDiavel generation refined ergonomics and colour/equipment options while retaining the belt-driven 1,262cc DVT. Check documented servicing, especially DVT checks and belt-replacement timing.
Years
2021 - present
The XDiavel Black Star is the distinctive 2021+ trim with model-specific colour and wheel finish. Technically it belongs to the second XDiavel generation; match Black Star only when the listing or vehicle documentation explicitly states it.
Years
2016 - 2020
The first XDiavel combines a 1,262cc Testastretta DVT L-twin with belt drive and a low power-cruiser stance. Inspect belt tension, rear-pulley condition and DVT/ABS fault codes in particular.
Years
2016 - 2020
The XDiavel S is an equipment trim of the first XDiavel generation, not a separate motorcycle family. It shares the 1,262cc DVT and belt drive; verify S-specific finish and factory options against the individual bike.
The Ducati X Diavel is a power cruiser combining Italian sport-bike DNA with cruiser proportions, introduced in 2016. It is powered by a 1262 cc air/oil-cooled L-twin Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) producing 152 hp, mated to a belt final drive, unusual for Ducati. The geometry prioritises cruiser comfort with stretched-out footpegs, yet the handling remains sharper than a typical V-twin cruiser. The second generation (2021–) refined ergonomics and expanded colour choices.
The X Diavel targets riders who want cruiser stance and presence without compromising Ducati ride dynamics. The low 755 mm seat height suits shorter riders, while the 239 kg kerb weight demands experience in slow manoeuvres. Rivals include the Harley-Davidson Softail range and Yamaha VMAX. Long-distance comfort is good; the 17-litre tank limits range on touring trips.

A used Ducati X Diavel costs €15,500 on average. Most cost €11,882 to €33,190. This is based on 31 motorcycles for sale now.
MotorMonitor now compares 31 used Ducati X Diavel motorcycles from Dutch sales sites.
The average used Ducati X Diavel is from 2018 and has done about 17,021 km.
