About the Bmw K 1600 GT
The BMW K 1600 GT has been BMW's sport-touring flagship since 2011, built around a transverse 1,649 cc inline-six. The engine produces up to 160 hp and 175 Nm, with an exceptionally smooth, linear pull. ESA suspension, ride modes and ASC are standard; option packs add adaptive cornering xenon, central infotainment and tyre-pressure monitoring. The 2017 update brought Euro 4, and the 2022 facelift introduced a 10.25-inch TFT dash and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The K 1600 GT targets two-up riders who clock big distances but pack lighter than a full GTL owner. Wet weight is around 343 kg; despite that, a low centre of gravity and rich electronics make it surprisingly composed in the bends.
