Tornado Tre 900 RS
GenerationThe RS range from 2004, documented by parts and homologation sources through 2007. Its 898 cc triple with about 143 hp, Marzocchi fork and radial brakes make it a separate sports version alongside the LE and 1130.
About the Benelli Tornado RS 900
The Benelli Tornado Tre 900 RS is the later fully faired 898 cc sports version of the Tornado Tre. The RS arrived in 2004 after the 150 numbered LEs, and is not a Limited Edition; nor is it a Tornado 1130. Its liquid-cooled triple produces about 106 kW/143 hp, and the RS combines a 50 mm Marzocchi fork, adjustable rear shock, radial four-piston brakes and 17-inch wheels.
Exact year and trim matter when buying: parts references show RS models through 2007, while earlier Tornado 900s and the LE have different specification and collector status. Inspect cooling, injection, clutch, six-speed gearbox, brakes, fan package and original fairing parts. An RS badge does not automatically make a regular Tornado or LE the correct version.

What to check before buying
- Check type plate and documentation: RS 900, LE 900 and Tornado 1130 are different versions.
- Check the triple for cold starting, injection, plugs, valve clearances and fault codes.
- Inspect radiator, hoses, fan and coolant for leaks and heat problems.
- Check clutch, six-speed gearbox, chain and sprockets for slip, heavy shifting and wear.
- Inspect 50 mm fork, rear shock, radial brakes, discs and fairing mountings for leaks, damage and non-original parts.
