Continental GT

The Royal Enfield Continental GT is a café-racer family with two fundamentally different modern generations. The 2013–2017 Continental GT 535 uses an air-cooled 535cc single and five-speed gearbox. From 2018, the Continental GT 650 uses the Interceptor's 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin and six-speed gearbox, but with clip-ons and a forward-biased riding position. An advert saying only "Continental GT" is therefore not enough for a correct technical match without capacity or a clear variant.

The 535 is lighter and rawer but demands more attention to maintenance and condition. The 650 is stronger, smoother and more versatile, although the café-racer position remains less relaxed on long motorway rides. When buying, establish 535 versus 650 first, inspect chrome and exhaust components for corrosion, and assess modified exhausts or fuel mapping critically. A Thunder Edition is equipment within the 650 family, not a different engine platform.
