About the Mv Agusta Rush 1000
The MV Agusta Rush 1000 is a hyper-naked built on the Brutale 1000 RR base, unveiled in 2019 and produced from 2020 as a limited edition. The 998 cc inline-four with radial valves makes around 208 hp at 13,450 rpm, matching the Brutale flagship, but the look is dragster-inspired: a stub tail, a fat 200/55 rear tyre on a carbon rim, a high-set dash and an aluminium exhaust cluster. The semi-active Öhlins NIX EC fork and TTX36 EC shock work with a comprehensive IMU package providing cornering ABS, launch control and GP-style traction control.
The Rush 1000 is not an everyday machine: a 16-litre tank limits autonomy, and the riding posture is built for street provocation rather than touring. It suits collectors, trackday riders and owners who want boutique-Italian flair at the cafe stop or on a tight mountain pass. Direct rivals are the Ducati Streetfighter V4, BMW M 1000 R and KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo. A full dealer history is essential, the four needs short service intervals, and components such as the carbon rear wheel and ride-by-wire electronics are costly to replace.

What to check before buying
- Request the 6,000 km valve-clearance check records; the four needs short service intervals
- Test semi-active suspension and IMU ride modes; early Öhlins EC electronics suffer connector corrosion
- Inspect the carbon rear wheel for hairline cracks; any visible fibre damage writes the wheel off instantly
- Evaluate the quickshifter and launch-control modules for faults; replacements are very expensive
- Check dealer history and parts availability beforehand; Rush is limited and specific parts are scarce
