About the Mv Agusta F3 675
The MV Agusta F3 675 is the brand's entry-level supersport, launched in 2012 as the first model to use Schiranna's new 675 cc inline-three. Its counter-rotating crankshaft, rare outside MotoGP at the time, sharpens steering and direction changes. Bodywork and frame are essentially shared with the F3 800; only crank stroke, mapping and final drive differ. An aluminium swingarm, top-tier suspension and a radial Brembo set keep dry weight just under 175 kg, while peak output sits around 128 hp at 14,500 rpm with an eager top-end pull lacking in many Japanese rivals.
The F3 675 appeals to riders who value character over headline numbers. A cramped seating triangle, low clip-ons and high pegs make it best on circuit and twisty back roads; commuting or two-up duty is not its forte. Equipment includes an eight-level traction control, ride-by-wire with multiple maps and an EAS quickshifter. Direct rivals are the Triumph Daytona 675R, Yamaha YZF-R6 and Ducati Panigale 959. When buying, a complete dealer history is crucial: the inline-three needs regular valve-clearance checks and the electronics resent amateur intervention.

What to check before buying
- Request the 12,000 km valve-clearance check record; out-of-spec values point to intake leakage
- Test the quickshifter and EAS module in both directions; early F3 units saw multiple recall bulletins
- Inspect stator and regulator for discolouration; older F3 675s commonly show electrical faults
- Check the shift action; pre-update F3 gearboxes have notably harsh 1-2 and 2-3 transitions
- Examine paint near exhaust headers and fairing seams for fade; Italian lacquer discolours under heat
