The KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO is the top-specification variant of KTM's flagship naked bike, introduced in 2024. The 1350 cc LC8 V-twin produces 210 hp at 9,000 rpm, making it one of the most powerful production naked motorcycles in the world. The EVO specification adds to the standard 1390 a fully adjustable WP Apex Pro front fork and electronically adjustable WP Apex monoshock, together with aerodynamically developed bodywork for higher-speed stability.
The 1390 Super Duke R EVO is aimed exclusively at very experienced riders who seek the absolute limit of the naked bike class. The riding modes, cornering ABS and traction control are indispensable; without electronic rider aids the bike is dangerous for most riders. It competes directly with the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S and BMW M 1000 R, and has no direct rival in terms of power output within the naked bike segment.
Check the service history carefully; the KTM LC8 engine requires specific service intervals and neglecting them leads to internal damage.
Inspect the electronic rider aids for correct operation; riding modes and ABS settings on the 1390 EVO are complex and faults can occur with outdated ECU firmware.
Check tyre condition; the extreme power output wears tyres quickly and worn tyres at this power level are dangerous.
Watch the aerodynamic panels; the small winglets are vulnerable during low-speed manoeuvres and when parking.
Check the battery and charging system on bikes stored unused for months; the complex electronics place a significant standby drain on the battery.
