Years2025–present
The Versys 1100 S is the 1,099 cc/135 hp version that replaced the Versys 1000 S in 2025. It has S touring equipment with a larger screen and TFT, but no KECS Skyhook; that semi-active suspension belongs to the separate SE. Identify the S by its 1100 S designation and compare the actual suspension before advertising it as an SE.
1,099 cc · 135 hp · 4 cyl.
From 2025, the Kawasaki Versys 1100 S is the better-equipped but not electronically suspended version of the new Versys 1100. Its engine is not the old 1,043 cc/120 hp Versys 1000 unit carried over: the inline-four grew to 1,099 cc and produces 99 kW/135 hp and 112 Nm. The S adds a larger screen, hand guards, cornering lights, TFT connectivity, riding modes and, depending on market, heated grips.
For long distance it is a road-focused adventure tourer on 17-inch wheels, with 257 kg kerb mass and an 840 mm seat. The important advert distinction is that only the Versys 1100 SE has KECS/Showa Skyhook electronic suspension. An S uses conventional adjustable suspension; do not confuse the two when comparing filters or prices.

As a new model, long-term reliability data is limited; always check for any issued recall notices.
Check the semi-active suspension electronics for correct operation and up-to-date firmware; early examples may have software issues.
Inspect the TFT display and connectivity module for correct function; a common attention point on new models.
Examine the windscreen mounting and height-adjustment mechanism; this wears with frequent adjustment.
