About the Husqvarna FE 450
The Husqvarna FE 450 is a 450 cc four-stroke road-registered enduro from the FE family. It shares its SOHC engine, chrome-moly steel frame and WP Xplor suspension with the KTM 450 EXC-F, producing roughly 63 hp at a sub-110 kilo dry weight. EFI, licence plate, lights and mirrors come as standard, paired with enduro-specific geometry, 21"/18" wheels and long-travel suspension. The platform was renewed in 2017 and received a new frame, swingarm, suspension and TBI fuel injection in 2024.
The FE 450 targets A-licence enduro riders competing at national or regional level, or trail riders looking to do long off-road days. The roughly 950 mm seat is tall, the bars narrow and the bike is most at home off-road. It's road-legal but seating position and wind protection aren't built for long motorway transfers. Direct competitors include the KTM 450 EXC-F, GasGas EC 450F, Beta RR 450 4T and Sherco SE 450 SEF-R.

What to check before buying
- Ask for the engine-hour log alongside the mileage; a 450 enduro works hard.
- Inspect valves and piston on the official engine-hour schedule.
- Check the air filter and airbox for dust or water ingress; an avoidable cause of early engine wear.
- Inspect the WP Xplor fork and shock for oil weeping.
- Verify the registration and roadworthiness paperwork are valid; some FE 450s are only used as off-road bikes.
