About the Honda NC 750
The Honda NC 750 is the umbrella name for Honda's mid-displacement commuter and all-rounder bikes powered by the 745 cc parallel-twin: the NC750S (naked), NC750X (crossover) and Integra 750 (maxi-scooter). Introduced in 2014 as a development of the 2012 NC700 series, the engine is a long-stroke twin tuned to deliver around 58 hp (43 kW) and 69 Nm at modest revs. Honda offers both a manual gearbox and the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Fuel economy is a strong point, riders routinely see roughly 30 km/l.
The NC 750 targets commuters and weekend riders who want a reliable, economical and easy-to-handle bike. The riding position is upright, the centre of gravity low, and the choice between S and X comes down to riding posture (sportier vs. slightly raised). The 23-litre 'frunk' where the fuel tank usually sits (the tank is under the seat) is unique in this class. Direct rivals are the Yamaha MT-07/Tracer 7 and Suzuki SV650.

What to check before buying
- Check the DCT firmware on 2014-2017 models; early units could shift harshly until updated by a dealer.
- The drive chain wears under the engine's low-rev torque; check stretch and sprocket profile.
- Clutch hydraulics on manual versions can weep; look for fluid traces around the master and slave cylinders.
- Steering head bearings can knock at high mileage; squeeze the front brake and rock the bike to feel for play.
- A 2018 recall covered the side-stand switch on certain model years; confirm the engine cuts out with the side-stand down in gear.
