This technical reference row for the Cross Bones combines the available catalogue data: 1584 cc, 55 kW, 75 hp, 304 kg. It describes the model reference, but does not necessarily distinguish every production or equipment change. Always verify model year, trim and technical values against the individual motorcycle.
The Harley-Davidson Cross Bones is a retro bobber built on the Softail platform, produced from 2008 to 2011. Its most distinctive feature is the springer front fork, a dual-spring-and-link design harking back to 1940s Harleys, paired with a narrow front wheel, a low solo saddle and drag bars. The engine is the 1584 cc Twin Cam 96B V-twin with belt final drive, delivering a low-maintenance drivetrain with classic Harley character. The name and skull logo intentionally reference raw chopper heritage.
The Cross Bones targets riders who want an unconventional retro-bobber aesthetic with Harley reliability. The low 660 mm seat height is accessible for shorter riders, but the Softail's simulated rigid rear suspension limits long-distance comfort. It is not a first motorcycle. Rivals include the Honda Shadow and Triumph Bonneville Bobber. The model was discontinued after 2011; used examples are rare.

A used Harley Davidson Cross Bones costs €14,995 on average. Most cost €13,804 to €17,745. This is based on 12 motorcycles for sale now.
