About the Gasgas MC 125
The GasGas MC 125 is a 125cc two-stroke motocross racer introduced in 2021 following Spanish brand GasGas's acquisition by Pierer Mobility (the KTM Group). The bike shares its technical platform with the KTM 125 SX and Husqvarna TC 125, including the frame, water-cooled two-stroke engine, and Brembo brakes, but is positioned as an entry-level racer under GasGas's red-on-red livery. The MC 125 is not road homologated.
The MC 125 suits young or lightweight riders stepping into the 125cc class, and experienced riders seeking a light, nimble motocross machine. It competes directly with the KTM 125 SX, Husqvarna TC 125, Yamaha YZ125, and Kawasaki KX112. With a seat height of approximately 990mm and a 98kg kerb weight, it demands genuine technical skill.

What to check before buying
- Check piston and cylinder bore for wear; two-strokes require top-end rebuilds every 30–50 riding hours
- Inspect the powervalve (RAVE) for carbon build-up that restricts power delivery
- Check radiators for dents and leaks from crash damage
- Ask for maintenance history covering clutch and gearbox wear
- Inspect frame and subframe for cracks; inevitable after crashes
