TNT 899 standard
GenerationThe standard TNT 899: black or white base version with 899 cc triple and non-adjustable Marzocchi/ZF Sachs suspension. Not an 899S and not a 1130 Titanium/Sport.
About the Benelli TNT 899
The Benelli TNT 899 is the standard naked triple in the TNT range, supplied from 2008 to 2016. Its liquid-cooled 899 cc three-cylinder uses double overhead camshafts, injection, six speeds and a steel trellis frame. At 88 kW and 88 Nm it is not an entry-level bike, but the 899 revs higher and feels noticeably less abrupt than the 1130.
This profile covers the standard TNT 899 only. The 899S is a separate, higher-specification version with its own suspension and colour scheme; TNT Titanium and TNT Sport are 1130 models and do not belong to this 899. At purchase, verify type designation, capacity and suspension components rather than relying on tank stickers. The 2010 update and Century Racer colour scheme did not change the basic 899 identity, so they are not presented as artificial separate generations.

What to check before buying
- Check cold start, idle and fault warnings; have injection and diagnostics read if it runs poorly or shows warning lights.
- Inspect coolant, radiator, hoses, fan and water pump for leaks and correct operation when hot.
- Test clutch, six-speed gearbox and chain drive under load; also check selecting neutral and a hot restart.
- Check charging voltage, battery, connectors and earths, plus every control and light.
- Establish standard 899 versus 899S from VIN, paperwork and suspension: the standard uses the less lavish, non-adjustable 50 mm Marzocchi/ZF Sachs arrangement.
