Tricity 300

The Yamaha Tricity 300 is a three-wheeled GT scooter using Yamaha's Leaning Multi-Wheel front end. Two independently suspended front wheels allow it to lean like a motorcycle while providing extra contact area and braking reserve on wet or poor roads. Its 292 cc Blue Core single, CVT, traction control and linked braking suit urban use and regional motorways. Standing Assist can temporarily hold the front end upright when stopped.

The Tricity suits commuters prioritising stability and weather confidence, although it remains a heavy vehicle requiring proper low-speed technique. In some countries it can be ridden on a car licence; always confirm Dutch licence and registration requirements for the individual bike. Correct front-wheel alignment, smooth linkage pivots and documented CVT servicing are essential buying checks. Storage and wind protection are good, while width and weight make parking harder than with a conventional scooter.
