About the Voge 650 DSX
The Voge 650 DSX is the base trim of the 650 adventure-tourer family, aimed at riders who want the full equipment package without paying the LX premium. The engine is a 652cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin with a 270-degree crank, producing around 70 hp and 60 Nm. The steel beam frame rolls on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel, the classic asphalt-leaning adventure setup. Standard kit includes full LED lighting, a TFT dash with smartphone pairing, dual-channel ABS, traction control and adjustable KYB suspension. Unlike the LX, the base DSX ships without aluminium panniers, fog lights or heated grips.
The 650 DSX targets A-licence riders looking for a first or second tourer for commuting and weekend rides. Seat height around 825 mm is relatively low for an adventure-tourer, and a kerb weight of about 215 kg stays manageable. Its on-road bias suits highway and mild gravel use better than serious off-road work, riders chasing actual enduro performance should pick a DS 800 X Rally. The 650 DSX competes with the Honda Transalp 750, Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and BMW F 800 GS at a price several thousand euros below the Japanese and European rivals.

What to check before buying
- Inspect the chain and rear sprocket; they wear quickly when the bike is loaded heavily or ridden two-up.
- Test the TFT dash, smartphone pairing and LED lighting during the test ride; early units reported bluetooth dropouts after firmware updates.
- Look for coolant weeps at the water pump and inspect the hose connections; a recall covered leaking coolant hoses on several Voge models.
- Inspect brake pads and discs; the high mass and adventure tyres demand more braking effort than a typical naked.
- Ask about dealer service: the Voge dealer network in the Netherlands is small and not every workshop has the right diagnostic equipment.
