Sprint S 50 i-get (2021–heden)
GenerationThe current petrol Sprint S 50 uses the 49cc i-get injected engine with about 2.3 kW and 3.1 Nm. It is a restricted 45 km/h moped scooter; Sprint S Elettrica and tuned 80cc adverts are explicitly outside this row.
About the Vespa Sprint S 50
The Vespa Sprint S 50 is the sportier-finished 50cc moped scooter in the Sprint family. The current petrol version uses a 49cc i-get single with electronic injection, air cooling and automatic CVT. Factory specification lists 2.3 kW and 3.1 Nm, with a steel monocoque body, 12-inch wheels, 785 mm seat height and 7.5-litre tank. This makes the Sprint S 50 an AM-class scooter limited to 45 km/h, not an 80cc vehicle and not a Sprint S Elettrica.
It suits urban trips where compact size, weather-resistant bodywork and easy footing matter. The S version differs mainly in finish and styling; a top case, screen or alternative seat does not create a separate generation. On a used Sprint, check the CVT, rust-free condition of the steel body, brakes, electronic injection and legal restriction. An advert showing higher capacity or output does not fit the 50cc i-get and is therefore not assigned to this generation.

What to check before buying
- Check variator, drive belt and centrifugal clutch for documented maintenance, vibration or hesitant take-off.
- Inspect the steel monocoque, floorboards and underside for rust, paint damage and poor parking-damage repairs.
- Test cold start, idle and injection response; a 50cc i-get should start without prolonged cranking.
- Check front disc, rear drum, tyres and lighting, and verify the 45 km/h restriction through documents and a test ride.
- Match VIN, capacity and drive type to the advert; 80cc, tuning or electric data do not belong to this petrol Sprint S 50.
