About the Triumph Street Triple RS
The Triumph Street Triple RS is the top-spec member of the 765 cc Street Triple family, aimed at sport-naked riders who want track performance without a fairing. The 765 cc inline triple, derived from the Daytona and used in the Moto2 World Championship since 2019, produces around 123 hp in RS trim and pulls strongly through the mid-range. The RS sets itself apart with fully adjustable Showa Big Piston forks, an Öhlins STX40 rear shock, Brembo M50 Stylema calipers and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa rubber.
At 177 kg kerb weight and with a sporty chassis setup, the Street Triple RS is a popular trackday choice, while the upright stance and relatively civilised steering keep it usable on the road. It competes with the Yamaha MT-09 SP, KTM 890 Duke R and Ducati Streetfighter V2. Electronics include cornering ABS, traction control, a quickshifter (standard from 2020) and multiple ride modes including a dedicated Track mode.

What to check before buying
- Ask whether trackdays appear in the bike's history: bearings and pads wear faster than on road-only use.
- Check the quickshifter operation; early bikes received firmware updates for low-rev hesitation.
- Inspect swingarm and rear shock for crash damage; the RS sees plenty of fallen owners.
- Look for discoloured exhaust headers; the short undertray exhaust is heat-sensitive.
- Confirm brake fluid has been changed regularly; track use means yearly replacement at minimum.
