Years2025–present
The 2025-on Speed Triple 1200 RS retains the 180 hp triple but adds refined semi-active Öhlins suspension and a revised electronics package. For a 2025+ advert, confirm that equipment is actually present and not confused with the earlier RS generation.

Years2021–2024
The 2021-on Speed Triple 1200 RS is the light, powerful 1,160 cc naked with 180 hp and extensive IMU electronics. Check tyres and brakes, software and TFT, quickshifter and high-spec suspension maintenance; a track-used motorcycle merits extra inspection of crash and wear parts.

The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is the most extreme variant of the Speed Triple line, positioned as a fully equipped hypernaked. The 1160 cc triple produces 180 hp and 125 Nm, paired with a titanium exhaust, Öhlins semi-active suspension front and rear, and lightweight carbon components. The engine pulls cleanly at low revs but truly comes alive above 5,000 rpm where sound and power combine into an intense experience. Standard IMU-based electronics manage traction control, wheelie control, and cornering ABS.
The RS is not an everyday motorcycle: at 188 kg kerb weight it feels more accessible than the numbers suggest, despite the power output. It targets enthusiast riders who want no compromise between superbike performance and streetfighter usability. On the used market it is attractive due to its rich standard specification, but a documented service history at a Triumph dealer is essential.

Check the Öhlins semi-active suspension for fault codes and correct operation; repairs are expensive out of warranty.
Confirm a recent service (valve clearances every 16,000 km, oil/filter change) has been carried out; the engine works hard.
Inspect the titanium exhaust for dents or loose joints; even cosmetic damage increases insurance costs.
Examine carbon components (mudguard, cover) for hairline cracks or repairs from tip-over damage.
Note tyre wear; the high performance demands quality rubber and shortens tyre life significantly.
