The Suzuki SV-7 GX is a mid-size adventure crossover powered by a 645 cc parallel twin liquid-cooled engine, unveiled at EICMA 2025. The SV-7 GX evolves the renowned SV650 platform by introducing a higher riding stance with longer suspension, a 19-inch front wheel and more adventure-oriented ergonomics. Combining the SV650's naked sport DNA with light adventure functionality, Suzuki positions it as a versatile daily rider for both city and weekend use.
The SV-7 GX targets riders who appreciate the proven SV650 character but want more all-round capability and comfort. Seat height is slightly taller than the SV650 but weight remains compact thanks to the twin-cylinder platform. It competes with the Honda CB750 Hornet and Yamaha MT-07 in the versatile middleweight segment. Suzuki's reliability reputation and the proven engine architecture are strong selling points.
As a new model (2026), the SV-7 GX has no long-term reliability record yet; first-year buyers accept the usual risk of a new model run.
Check availability of service network and genuine parts in your region; some accessories were not yet available at launch.
Verify ride height adjustment system (if fitted) functions correctly; mechanical height adjusters can wear with use.
