About the Suzuki GSX-S 1000 F
The Suzuki GSX-S1000F is the fully faired sports tourer of the first GSX-S1000 platform, sold from 2015 to 2020. Its 999 cc four is derived from the GSX-R1000 K5 but tuned for strong midrange and everyday use. An aluminium frame, upright position, ABS and traction control combine sporting performance with more protection than the naked version. From 2017 Euro 4 brought slightly more power and a slipper clutch.
It suits riders wanting a reliable, fast four-cylinder for commuting and holidays without superbike ergonomics. The fairing protects well, although luggage and passenger use need accessories. Check throttle response, clutch, chain and the quality of any ECU tune. The selected Commons image shows the exact F model; generic naked GSX-S photographs were rejected.

What to check before buying
- Test transitions from closed throttle for hesitation or abruptness and establish whether the ECU map was altered.
- Check the clutch basket and slipper clutch for rattling, heavy engagement or slip under full load.
- Inspect chain, sprockets and cush-drive rubbers for wear and clunks on load changes.
- Check fairing mounts, radiator, steering stops and engine covers for concealed crash or slide damage.
- Measure charging voltage and inspect accessories wired directly into the loom or battery.
