Years
2021 - present
The Rosso is the more accessible Euro 5 version with 112 hp, revised IMU electronics and updated engine calibration. Rosso must be explicit because the stronger RR is sold concurrently.
Years
2021 - present
The current RR produces 140 hp and gained IMU-controlled rider aids, revised controls and Euro 5 calibration. RR or 140 hp is required to separate it from the 112 hp Rosso.
Years
2017 - 2020
The Euro 4 RR retains 140 hp while combining it with the longer second-generation chassis and refined electronics. The full RR designation prevents standard models receiving the same specifications.
Years
2016 - 2020
The heavily revised Brutale gained a longer chassis, new exhaust, Euro 4 calibration and smoother output of about 109 hp. It is more stable and usable than the first B3.
Years
2015 - 2016
The first RR raises output to 140 hp through different injectors, intake and engine calibration. RR must be stated in full because years and capacity overlap the standard model.
Years
2013 - 2015
The first Brutale 800 uses the 798cc triple in a very direct 125 hp tune and compact early B3 chassis. Abrupt throttle response and early electronics distinguish it from the 2016 generation.
The MV Agusta Brutale 800 is the three-cylinder naked from the Italian boutique brand based in Schiranna, introduced in 2012 to replace the four-cylinder Brutale 990. The transverse 798 cc inline-three delivers around 110 hp in standard form and 140 hp in the RR variant. Key features are the counter-rotating crankshaft, short wheelbase and the trademark triple-pipe exhaust on the right side. A Euro 4 update in 2016 added ride-by-wire, and from 2020 the bike received improved electronics with IMU, slipper clutch and quickshifter (EAS).
The Brutale 800 appeals to riders who want sharp Italian styling, a high-revving triple and direct handling. Tight ergonomics and aggressive throttle make it less suited to long touring, but a striking alternative to the Yamaha MT-09, Triumph Street Triple and Ducati Monster 821. The Dutch dealer network is small, so factor specialist servicing and higher parts pricing into your buying decision.
