About the Ktm 125 MC
The KTM 125 MC is a purpose-built motocross bike for the 125cc two-stroke class, developed for competitive use on motocross tracks. KTM has continuously refined the 125 MC over the years with improvements to the frame, suspension and engine delivery to provide the best performance in its class. The lightweight 125cc two-stroke engine produces a sharp, immediate power delivery that is unmatched on the motocross track.
The KTM 125 MC is intended for young riders and lightweight competition riders actively competing in 125cc motocross events. The bike requires regular technical attention and is not homologated for road use. It competes directly with the Husqvarna TC125, Yamaha YZ125 and Honda CR125R.

What to check before buying
- Check cylinder heads and pistons for wear; two-strokes require frequent top-end rebuilds depending on intensity of use.
- Inspect the exhaust valve (power valve) for carbon build-up and free movement; a stuck valve causes noticeable power loss.
- Check clutch pack wear and spring pressure; a worn clutch slips under load.
- Verify the service history of the forks and shock absorber; competition bikes are heavily loaded and require regular maintenance.
