About the Honda Dax 125
The Honda Dax 125 is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Honda Dax (ST70) from 1969, introduced in 2022 as part of Honda's Heritage model line. The engine is a 124 cc liquid-cooled OHC single producing 9.7 hp, paired with an automatic two-speed gearbox. The modern Dax 125 retains the distinctive T-bone frame that defines the original Dax design, along with a large round headlight and wide, low proportions. Kerb weight is approximately 107 kg.
The Dax 125 appeals to riders who want the nostalgic character of the original Dax combined with modern reliability and ease of maintenance. It works as a city fun bike and is suitable for A1-licence holders (16 years and over). The low 775 mm seat height and light weight make it extremely easy to handle. It is not intended for motorways or long distances. Rivals include the Honda Super Cub C125 and Monkey 125. In the Netherlands the Dax 125 is popular as a lifestyle motorcycle.

What to check before buying
- Check the clutch and gear selector for correct operation in both ratios; the semi-automatic transmission is simple but model-specific.
- Inspect the T-bone frame for damage from tip-overs; the low construction makes it more vulnerable than taller bikes.
- Check the small LED headlight for correct function and damage.
- Check the small-diameter tyres for wear and correct tyre pressure: small wheels are more sensitive to pressure-related issues.
- Check coolant level and the cooling system: the small engine can overheat if maintenance is neglected.
