Streetfighter V2

The Ducati Streetfighter V2 is the naked version of the Panigale V2 and arrived in 2022. Its 955 cc Superquadro L-twin comes straight from the sportbike and produces around 153 hp and 101 Nm. The chassis is an aluminium monocoque frame that uses the engine as a stressed member, with fully adjustable Showa and Sachs suspension, Brembo M4.32 brakes, a Bosch IMU and a full electronics suite, cornering ABS, traction control, slide control, wheelie control and a quickshifter. From 2025 Ducati also sells a second-generation Streetfighter V2 powered by the new 890 cc V2 Granturismo (around 120 hp), which is lighter and more accessible, when buying used, check the model year and engine variant carefully.

For riders this is the most manageable Streetfighter: shorter, narrower and roughly 25 kg lighter than the Streetfighter V4. The 845 mm seat is tall and sporty, with rear-set pegs and a wide aluminium handlebar. On a twisty mountain road or a track day it makes startling use of just two cylinders; in town, engine heat and steering lock remain limiting. Direct rivals are the KTM 890 Duke R, Triumph Street Triple RS and Aprilia Tuono 660 / 1100. Plan for typical Ducati ownership: valve clearance checks every 24,000 km and regular attention to the electronics and slipper clutch.
