About the Ducati Scrambler Icon
The Ducati Scrambler Icon is the approachable 803cc air-cooled Desmodue within the Scrambler family. The first Icon ran from 2015 through 2018; the 2019–2022 update brought, among other changes, modernised lighting and cornering ABS. Icon Dark is an explicit dark-finished trim only. From 2023 the Next-Gen Icon is technically recognisable by its lighter frame, TFT display and ride-by-wire while retaining the air-cooled 803cc L-twin.
The Icon is mainly an agile roadster with scrambler style for town and twisty B-roads, not serious off-road work. It is not A2 compliant in standard form. On a used bike, check desmo servicing, timing belts, chain and brakes. Clear model years safely identify the generation; without a year or explicit Icon designation, the advert remains unresolved so other Scrambler variants are not mixed in.
