The Ducati Monster 1100 is a naked sports bike powered by the well-known 1079 cc air- and oil-cooled L-twin. Introduced in 2009 and produced through 2013 as the 1100 EVO, it replaced the Monster S2R 1000 as the top twin-cylinder variant in the Monster range. With 95 hp (standard) and 100 hp (EVO) it is more powerful than the smaller Monster 696 while remaining lighter and more compact than the water-cooled models. The EVO variant (2011-2013) brought improved engine characteristics and updated chassis components. The trellis frame and naked styling are defining Monster traits.
The Monster 1100 targets experienced riders who want classic Ducati character in a manageable package. The upright riding position is more comfortable than a superbike, while the L-twin delivers a uniquely engaging soundtrack. Against the Honda CB 1000 R and Kawasaki Z1000 it offers more character and a lighter chassis. New riders should approach with caution given the L-twin's peaky power delivery.
A used Ducati Monster 1100 costs €5,999 on average. Most cost €5,070 to €6,978. This is based on 33 motorcycles for sale now.
