V 7 Stone

The Moto Guzzi V7 Stone is the blacked-out, matte-finished variant of Guzzi's best-selling naked. Introduced in 2012 as the entry-level V7 trim, the Stone gained cast alloy wheels, a round headlight bezel and a single-tone matte tank without chrome detailing. The engine is the familiar air-cooled transverse 90-degree V-twin: initially 744 cc producing roughly 50 hp; from 2017 (V7 III Stone) enlarged to 853 cc with around 65 hp; and the 2021 V7 850 Stone (E5) added traction control, ABS and full LED lighting. Drive is through a six-speed gearbox and shaft.

The V7 Stone targets riders who appreciate clean, classic lines without chrome glamour, a sober, modern look that suits a first big bike or a relaxed weekend ride. Ergonomics are light and accessible thanks to the low seat (approximately 770-780 mm), modest weight and upright riding position. The V7 Stone works well for city traffic, commuting and easy back-road tours, not for long motorway hauls or sporting use. Competitors include the Triumph Street Twin/Speed Twin, Kawasaki W800 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. On the used market the V7 Stone is sought after for its character, reliability and low ownership costs.
