2023–heden Diavel V4
GenerationThe Diavel V4 replaces the 1260 family with a 1,158cc Granturismo V4, 240mm rear tyre and power-cruiser ergonomics. It is a standalone Diavel generation; keep the 1,103cc Diavel V4 RS and XDiavel V4 as separate models because of their different engine/positioning.
About the Ducati Diavel V4
The Ducati Diavel V4 is the latest generation of Ducati's power-cruiser, introduced in 2023 with the Granturismo V4 engine from the Multistrada V4. The 1158cc V4 produces 168 hp and 126 Nm in a low, stretched silhouette with a 240 mm rear tyre. The Diavel V4 blends sport-bike dynamics with cruiser aesthetics: clip-on bars, a low 780 mm seat height and a full electronics package including cornering ABS, traction control and riding modes.
The Diavel V4 appeals to riders who want an extreme, distinctive machine that cruises the motorway like a tourer but looks like a cruiser. It is absolutely not a beginner's bike: the power is overwhelming and the low riding position takes adjustment. The Diavel V4 competes with the Triumph Rocket 3 and the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob 114 in the heavy-duty power-cruiser segment.

What to check before buying
- Check the service history for timely fluid changes; the V4 engine requires more frequent servicing than the previous L-twin.
- Test all riding modes and electronic systems thoroughly; IMU or semi-active suspension faults are expensive outside warranty.
- Inspect the rear tyre and the wide 240 mm Pirelli for wear; an expensive and fast-wearing combination under hard riding.
- Check the exhaust and heat shields for damage on the exposed pipes, vulnerable in low-speed manoeuvres.
- Verify the first major service (24,000 km, valves + fluids) has been carried out; frequently deferred due to high Ducati dealer costs.
