Years2025–present
The standard R 1300 GS Adventure pairs the 1,300 cc ShiftCam boxer with a conventional manually operated six-speed gearbox. It is the lighter, mechanically simpler choice for riders who want full clutch control.

Years2025–present
The ASA version uses the same boxer but operates clutch and shifts electronically, either fully automatically or through the foot lever. Look specifically for ASA because year and engine output do not identify this version.

The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure became the GS platform flagship in 2025 and replaces the R 1250 GS Adventure. Its new 1,300 cc boxer (shared with the R 1300 GS) makes 145 hp and 149 Nm, mated to a lighter sheet-steel main frame and aluminium subframe. A 30-litre tank, long-travel suspension, semi-active EVO Telelever with Dynamic Suspension Adjustment and the 6.5-inch connected TFT display make this Adventure ready for weeks on the road.
It targets long-distance travellers who want top-end comfort, hard-luggage capacity and electronic aids such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Front Collision Warning. Wet weight is around 269 kg and seat height varies 850-870 mm with electronic lowering, so it stays manageable at standstill for tall riders. Competitors are the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer and KTM 1390 Super Adventure. On the Dutch used market it is still scarce and trades close to list price.
The model is brand-new; verify that all BMW software updates and recalls have been completed by a dealer.
Fully test the Adaptive Vehicle Height Control; failures are costly to repair.
Inspect the final drive (Paralever) for oil seepage around the seal, even at low mileages.
Check the frame and bodywork for stone chips or impact damage; this bike is genuinely used off-road.
Pull the digital service history via BMW Connected; intermittent fault flags often point to IMU or radar sensors.
