The BMW R 1250 RT has been BMW's premium twin-cylinder tourer since 2019. The 1,254 cc boxer with variable valve timing (ShiftCam) makes 136 hp and 143 Nm, blending strong low-rev pull with a sharp top end. Standard equipment includes a full fairing with electric screen, ABS Pro, ASC, Hill Start Control, a 10.25-inch TFT and cruise control. Option packs add Dynamic ESA, adaptive cornering xenon, panniers and (from 2021) Adaptive Cruise Control.
The R 1250 RT targets touring riders who want maximum comfort and luggage capacity without the bulk of a K 1600.
