C evolution Long Range (2017-2021)
GenerationThe Long Range version gains a larger battery pack and stronger drivetrain for more usable rides beyond town. Check real charging time, battery health and original charging accessories when buying; the silent drivetrain does not change its substantial kerb weight.

C evolution standard (2014-2016)
GenerationThe first C evolution is BMW's electric maxi-scooter with a lower-output version and battery pack for urban and regional rides. It is silent and quick away from lights, while range, charging access and battery condition matter more than mileage on a used electric scooter.
About the Bmw C Evolution
The BMW C Evolution is an electric maxi-scooter based on the C 600 Sport, introduced in 2014 and produced until around 2021. Drive comes from a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering power directly to the rear wheel. The C Evolution was BMW's first electric scooter and was offered in two variants: the Long Range version (2017+) with a 26.4 kWh battery delivering a real-world range of approximately 160 km.
The C Evolution targets urban commuters and business riders who expect BMW's premium quality in a zero-emission vehicle. The riding experience mirrors the petrol version but is quieter with instantly available torque. At 268 kg the scooter is heavier than comparable models. It competes with the Yamaha EC-05 and Vespa Elettrica. Experience with large scooters is recommended.

What to check before buying
- Check battery health via BMW diagnostics; degradation of the 26.4 kWh pack is expensive to address.
- Inspect the charge port (Type 2 / CHAdeMO) for damage or corrosion on bikes stored outdoors.
- Check belt drive wear at higher mileage; the Gates belt is serviced by BMW dealers.
- Assess regenerative braking components; wear is lower than conventional systems but inspection remains necessary.
- Ask about software updates: older firmware can restrict charging capability and power management.
