Generations and editions

Years

2023–heden · TRK 702 X
EditionThe 702 X has a 19-inch wire-spoke front wheel, longer suspension and an 835mm seat. Use this row only when X is explicit in the advert.
Years
2023 - present
2023–heden · TRK 702
EditionThe standard TRK 702 is the road-focused version with 17-inch cast wheels and the lower 810mm seat. A compact TRK702 code without X is sufficient; a bare ‘TRK 702’ name remains undecided.
About the Benelli TRK 702
The Benelli TRK 702 is the larger TRK, powered by a 698cc parallel twin producing 51.5kW/70hp and 70Nm. From 2023 there are two technically meaningful versions: the road-focused TRK 702 with 17-inch cast wheels and the TRK 702 X with wire spokes, a 19-inch front wheel and longer suspension. They share years and engine, so a bare ‘TRK 702’ source label is not enough to guess standard or X.
The standard 702 is for comfortable asphalt mileage and two-up or luggage touring. The X gives more margin on poor roads but is not a lightweight enduro. Both have a 20-litre tank, upright ergonomics and extensive touring equipment. When buying, check current software, a fault-free dashboard and brakes, and evidence of servicing and warranty handling. If the advert does not identify its version clearly, it deliberately remains without an edition.

What to check before buying
- Test the TFT, Bluetooth and switchgear on a ride; have recurring warnings or connectivity issues documented before buying.
- Check calipers, discs and the ABS warning at low speed and after a longer test ride for consistent operation.
- Inspect chain, sprockets, rear-wheel alignment and chain tension; demo use and commuting can load these parts early.
- On an X, inspect spoke nipples, rims, skid plate and underside for hard off-road or drop damage.
- Ask for the PDI, software updates and warranty history; record any outstanding accessories or recalls in writing.
