The Triumph Thruxton 900 is a retro café racer based on the 865 cc Bonneville platform, produced from 2004 to 2015. The name references the historic Thruxton circuit in England. It produces around 69 hp from an air-cooled parallel twin with a characteristic low-rpm burble. The Thruxton differs from the standard Bonneville via clip-on handlebars, a small fly screen, and rear-set footpegs that create a more forward-leaning riding position.
The Thruxton 900 suits riders who want an authentic café racer feel combined with Triumph reliability and modern controls. It is comfortable for shorter rides but the riding position becomes tiring over long distances. Popular with classic motorsport enthusiasts seeking an accessible retro. Competes with the Moto Guzzi V7 Sport and Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. Was replaced in 2016 by the Thruxton 1200.
A used Triumph Thruxton 900 costs €5,500 on average. Most cost €4,990 to €6,536. This is based on 13 motorcycles for sale now.
