Adventurer 900
GenerationThe 1996–2001 Adventurer 900 is the relaxed cruiser based on Triumph's 885 cc triple, with a low seat and large 25-litre tank. Check carburettors, charging and cooling systems, chrome and exhaust for corrosion, plus chain, brake lines and tyres.
About the Triumph Adventurer 900
The Triumph Adventurer 900 is a British retro cruiser from the modular T300 family, built in the second half of the 1990s. Its liquid-cooled 885 cc triple, six-speed gearbox and steel backbone frame are related to Thunderbird and Legend, while the Adventurer adds a lower saddle, extensive chrome, spoked wheels and cruiser ergonomics. Around 68 hp gives smoother, more rev-friendly performance than traditional V-twin cruisers, while a large tank supports useful touring range.
The Adventurer suits riders wanting classic appearance with the character of Triumph's first Hinckley triple. Weight is noticeable when parking but the bike is stable underway. Check starter sprag, alternator drive, carburettors and cooling; long storage often causes blocked jets and cracked rubbers. Inspect spoked wheels, chrome, exhaust and tank for corrosion. Ask about valve clearances and cam chain. Rare side panels and original accessories add value, while poorly wired auxiliary lighting can create electrical faults.
