The Moto Guzzi V85 Strada is the road-oriented version of the V85 platform. It uses the same 853 cc transverse 90° V-twin (around 80 hp) with shaft drive, but with sportier road tyres, a lower seat and a chassis tuned for tarmac. The upright bars, simple TFT instrument cluster and pleasant V-twin character give the Strada the look of a neo-classic with touring DNA.
The V85 Strada is aimed at riders looking for an Italian alternative to the BMW R nineT, Triumph Speed Twin or Yamaha XSR900, but with the bonus of shaft drive and Moto Guzzi's signature engine character. The 815 mm seat height and 230 kg curb weight make it suitable for long days and two-up touring. On the Dutch used market most examples are 2019 onward, generally well looked after by enthusiast owners.
