About the Kymco Venox 250
The Kymco Venox 250 is a compact cruiser with a 249cc liquid-cooled V-twin, low seat and distinctive long, low styling. Unlike many 250 cruisers it is not a single-cylinder machine, which gives it a character of its own. The Venox is intended for relaxed riding and its low seat makes it accessible to shorter riders, although the ergonomics are not ideal for very long days.
A used Venox deserves a careful check of its maintenance and cosmetic condition. The engine is not highly stressed, but the cooling system, fuelling version and final drive must work properly. Also inspect chrome parts, exhaust and frame for corrosion. Riders wanting a light cruiser with V-twin character can compare it with a Honda Rebel or Hyosung Aquila, but should buy on condition and parts availability.

What to check before buying
- Check coolant, radiator and hoses for leaks and confirm the fan cuts in correctly.
- Check both cylinders for even cold starting, steady idle and clean throttle response.
- Inspect chrome, exhaust and the underside of the frame for corrosion, especially after year-round use.
- Inspect chain, sprockets and rear-wheel alignment; neglected drive components make the bike feel unsettled.
