About the Ktm 625 SXC
The KTM 625 SXC is a light, uncompromising LC4 dual sport, placing the large liquid-cooled single in an enduro-focused chassis. It is lighter and simpler than the Adventure and feels direct on dirt and winding back roads. A tall seat, small tank and firm vibration limit long-distance comfort. Road-legal examples exist, but many received competition parts, supermoto wheels or altered exhausts, so specification and registration require careful checking.
Ask for VIN, registration status, engine code and original components. History should show frequent oil and filter changes, valve clearances and checks to the water pump, balancer and crank bearings. Start it cold and watch for smoke, heavy knocking and unstable idle. Inspect airbox and intake for dust, radiators and cases for impacts, and frame, subframe and footrests for cracks. Check linkage, swingarm, steering head, fork seals and rear shock. Supermoto conversions need correct brakes, wheel sizes, gearing and homologation. An original, documented machine is usually the safest purchase.
