About the Ktm 350 SX
The KTM 350 SX is a two-stroke motocross machine that KTM produced in the 1990s as a mid-range entry in the SX racing class. The air-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke of 350 cc delivered strong power for its class and, thanks to a lightweight frame, was an agile and aggressive racing tool. KTM positioned the 350 SX as a bridge between the 250 and 500 cc classes, offering more torque than a 250 without the weight and abrupt power delivery of a 500.
The 350 SX targeted experienced motocross riders competing in regional classes. The characteristic KTM power delivery and WP suspension also made it popular as a recreational off-road bike outside competition. Today it is purely an off-road collector or recreational machine; road registration is generally not possible. Contemporary rivals included the Husqvarna 350 WXC and Honda CR 350R.

What to check before buying
- Check the bore for wear: two-stroke engines require frequent top-end rebuilds under competitive use.
- Inspect the frame for fatigue cracks, particularly around the swingarm pivot and steering head.
- Check the WP fork for leaking seals and worn bushings; standard replacement after each competitive season.
- Ask about the condition of the flywheel and ignition module; ageing components lead to unreliable ignition.
- Verify that original airbox and carburettor components are fitted; aftermarket or worn parts significantly affect power delivery.
